Well, it was hot and sunny all day at Plumpton College for the Sussex Championships but two of our juniors held a good chunk of the limelight.
Thomas successfully defended his title of Junior Recurve Champion for the second consecutive year and Daniel brought-home the compound title at his first championship tournament... Well done to both, we are all proud and pleased for you!
On the labour front we were a designated helper-club for this year and everyone that was able to chip-in worked hard and, I hope, enjoyed themselves in the process. As a club were were able to supply perhaps more helpers than any other on the roster.

March 16th, 2008:
Our club was represented at the Sussex County Championships in the team shoot where nineteen teams of four archers per team took part at the Worthing Leisure Centre.
Shooting a FITA18 under GNAS rules our archers brought-in a magnificent third place, bronze medal. Well done to them!

This year saw a Fun shoot on the theme of Battleships.
Each target comprised one team and the objective was to hit as many squares that covered ships and sink as many as possible.
Each target was scored by the non-shooting field captain and had DIFFERENT ship layouts to each other
Something obviously went terribly wrong on the day as it soon transpired that everyone was smiling and having fun... sorry about that folks!
