Professional Hand-Soldering with N2

There's more to a professional soldering iron than meets the eye as you will see with the Unicon range of soldering stations from Japan Unix.

Starting at the controller, we have precise control over tip temperature (°F or °C) through the built-in keypad and display, with critical temperatures lockable behind a supervisor's pass-code and an intelligence to drop temperature to a tip-protecting standby level and then, after a time set by you, to completely off.

When in standby mode of typically 250°C the controller will automatically detect that the operator has picked-up the handpiece by the patented movement detector in the handle and will quickly raise the tip temperature ready for soldering again.

Now, take a look at the handpiece...

This is an ergonomically designed professional tool with many built-in features, even extending to a nitrogen shield for lead-free soldering on the 'F' range of soldering stations via the fitted flow meter.

Once we get to the sharp-end you will find high-quality tips that are made from a solid piece of copper, machined, coated in iron and black-chromium yielding a large heat store for minimal temperature drop. Heat transfer to the tip is by a high-speed heater element that fits around the shaft of the tip, making heat-up times very short.

Using a low voltage element keeps leakage current to a minimum and the built-in ground spike maintains the tip at no more that 2mV above the local ESD ground to protect your product.
